The word is spreading!

People all over are discovering the goodness that is The Original Pancake House. Here are some of the nice things our valued customers have to say about us:

My daughter and I had breakfast this morning at the Granite Park OPH this morning. You have such a great staff there. I tried the Migas this morning. As a former Austinite, I take my Migas seriously. The Migas I had this morning were some of the best I've eaten. I know how valuable customer feedback can be. Please know that your operations here are top notch.

I just wanted to take a moment and applaud you for having a staff that delivers unparalleled customer service and manages to do it with positivity, charisma and enthusiasm. My sorority and I had the opportunity to work with the OPH staff in Dallas (Lemmon Ave. location) for a philanthropy event and never have I ever experienced such assistance. Really, they blew all of us away!

Abraham and Tina helped us with the logistics of the event and the night of the event, Tina was present with Sofia, Norma, Saulo, Sylvia, Celina and Jose. They came early, set up proficiently and lent a helping hand to the set up processes that needed help. Throughout the event, we got countless compliments on the friendliness of your staff (and, of course, the delicious pancakes). When we ran out, Tina and her staff saved the day and ensured chaos wouldn’t onset; they ran back to the store (about 3.5 miles away) and came back with more cooked pancakes as well as batter.

To see that there are still people today who have the philanthropic spirit within them is a true blessing. On top of that, seeing them execute the event so flawlessly was an absolute joy – no one has ever gone that far to help out and knowing that your staff did that truly blew me, my chapter and the 450 attendees away. I wanted to make sure that none of their efforts and contributions within the Dallas-Fort Worth community went unnoticed. They made it possible for us to raise about $9,500 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a haven for catastrophic pediatric diseases, such as cancer.

We hope that we can continue this relationship in the future and build upon it. Finding partners, such as your OPH DFW staff, that go so above and beyond is truly a rare and cherished link. If there is anything that we can do for them in the future, we would consider it an honor.

You truly have the best of the best within your organization.

Happy Holidays!

Best Wishes,

We just got back from school from the MOST WONDERFUL FIELD TRIP to your restaurant ever. Even the bus driver said she had never been on such an impressive field trip.

Your guys rolled out the red carpet for us and gave so much good information and food. We are leaving for spring break this afternoon, but when we return on Monday, March 22, the students will be preparing thank-you notes and I will be brining them by the restaurant that afternoon with a thank-you for the group.

Thanks, Thanks, Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I are seniors and don't do a lot of cooking at home anymore. The "Tribe" have all grown up, become successful (for which I thank my God) and have their own families. Therefore, there's really not much need to cook as we once did. We eat out at establishments such as yours because it's cheaper and I DON'T HAVE TO CLEAN UP THE MESS AFTERWARDS!

My purpose in writing this note is first, to praise you for the quality of food you prepare. We have been visiting the Original House of Pancakes for years, and never once have we had a bad meal. Quite an accomplishment when you consider that every Sunday at 11:00 you find us seated in your restaurant in Plano on Hwy 75. But more importantly is the level of service that you provide. We can dine at many places where the food is excellent but the service has the appeal of cold fried eggs or stale beer. To find a restaurant that provides excellent food and wonderful service these days is rare. But, your Plano establishment does both masterfully!

Specifically, there are three people that we have come to know and have great regard for. They are: Kim James, Cheryl Kaminski, and Amelito. These people are the most valuable assets you have in that establishment. All are extremely polite, kind, smile a lot, and always make it a point to come to our table and if for nothing else, just say "Hi, good to see you". What wonderful people these are. We always have a wait, sometimes short, but most often long. Someone always comes up to us while we are waiting and let's us know how we stand on the list. You have no idea how pleasant that is. We know the food will be superb and certainly worth the wait, but for someone to care enough to keep us informed goes beyond the call of duty.

Our meals are only exceeded by the table service. And Amelito always makes it a point to come up, shake my hand at the table and says hello. Kim is one of the most attentive waitress' I've ever seen. She has the ability to tell you about all dishes on the menu, and could not be more helpful in making suggestions. Cheryl is my special gal. You need to know that she works very hard, keeps the "geese" happy, while at the same time making sure that everyone's needs are met, always with a smile on her face.

I commend you both, say thank you, and know that because of your staff, this has become a regular for us. Please thank Kim, Cheryl, and Amelito, with a hearty "Well done!" and a pat on the back for us. These people are the principal reason for you success in this location and I hope you will recognize them for my wife and myself.

Sincerely,
Tom Shehee
